On July 15, we had the honor of coming together with 33 inspiring nonprofit partners for an evening that truly celebrated the spirit of service in the Columbia Gorge. From food banks and shelters to mental health support and literacy initiatives, each organization represented plays a vital role in strengthening our communities.
The room was filled with gratitude, shared purpose, and a deep sense of unity.
A special highlight of the night was honoring two extraordinary volunteers whose decades of service have left a profound impact:
- Leslie Hidle – A cherished volunteer with the Hood River County Christmas Project, Leslie has brought warmth and joy to countless families during the holiday season for over 25 years.
- Nancy Johanson Paul – A tireless advocate with Books for Kids Columbia Gorge, Nancy’s work has helped spark a love of reading in generations of children.
Their unwavering dedication is a powerful reminder of what it means to live united.
We also had the joy of presenting $70,000 in Q2 disbursement checks, supporting the continued work of our partners across the region — helping ensure essential services and resources reach those who need them most.
Thank you to all who attended, and to every volunteer, partner, and supporter working to uplift our communities with heart, purpose, and resilience. Together, we are creating real, lasting change.
