Please be prepared to discuss:

  • Open with a brief description of what you do/number of people served.
  • What, in general, would you do with funding provided by United Way?
  • What are the overall goals your organization hopes to achieve this year?
  • Discuss the ratio of Overhead Expenses versus Direct Client Services.

We require that the representative from your agency be well-informed about the content of the application – including the financial reporting form.

Each year, our Allocations Committee has some returning and some new committee members. Please present your program under the assumption that the Committee has no prior knowledge of your program.

Please be prepared, succinct, and well-informed about your agency, program and project and clearly communicate how your program is addressing the needs of the community. We are eager to learn how you are changing peoples’ lives.
